Analy High School Administrative Team
Chuck Wade, Principal
Chuck Wade joined Analy High School after serving ten years as an administrator at the Sonoma County Office of Education, most recently on the College and Career Readiness team. Chuck has formal training and experience in organizational change best practices, including transformational coaching, restorative practices, and designing and facilitating networked improvement communities. As a high school teacher for 13 years, Chuck helped develop and lead a small learning community offering an integrated curriculum organized around student-run businesses. Wade is “committed to eliminating the predictability - by race, class, gender, or other demographic factors - of students’ post-secondary success.” Chuck and his wife, Elizabeth, happily raised their two children in Sonoma County. Outside of work, he enjoys creating letterpress prints on his one-ton, 19th-century cast-iron printing press.
Christi Calson
Before becoming an Analy administrator. Christi worked at the Sonoma County Office of Education as the CTE Pathway Coordinator, helping facilitate several county-wide initiatives, including developing Early College Credit opportunities for high school students and extending Project-Based Learning professional development for teachers. Christi has worn many hats in her educational career. She has taught English, Drama, Spanish, Photography, and Maker and has been a Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Career Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator where she integrated real-world, hands-on experiences into classrooms. Her career highlights include a poetry unit, where students wrote poems on t-shirts using fabric paints and read poetry to family while enjoying hot chocolate and doughnuts, and a high school scavenger hunt in Virginia City, where students explored the old mining town (and graveyard) through the eyes of 19th-century prospectors.
Gianna De Persiis Vona, Vice Principal
Before joining the Analy administrative team for the 2023-2024 school year, Gianna De Persiss Vona worked in the West Sonoma County Union High School District for 22 years, most recently at Laguna High School as an English and Creative Writing teacher focused on family-school connections. Ginna has an MA in Creative Writing and Consciousness and Educational Leadership. Gianna aims to create a school culture that makes people feel valued and recognized through whole systems thinking and development. As a Certified Laughing Yoga Leader, Gianna believes in bringing laughter into the room whenever possible and is grateful for the immeasurable joy that working with the students and families in the West Sonoma County Union High School District has brought to her life. She loves to read, take long walks, drink tea, and spend time with her wife, adult sons, daughter-in-law, and miniature dachshund, Gino.
